“I assume we will discuss the rejected proposal to build a Trump property in Moscow that was terminated in January of 2016; which occurred before the Iowa caucus and months before the very first primary,” Cohen said in that statement.

Trump also reportedly told the Senate that he didn’t know whether Trump had advance knowledge of an infamous 2016 meeting between top brass from the president’s campaign and a lawyer from Russia billed as bringing dirt on Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton.
The new guilty plea came days after Cohen made an unexplained visit to Washington DC, where he was filmed strolling through the train station, declining to answer questions.
It’s the second recent guilty plea for Cohen, who admitted to tax fraud and campaign finance violations in federal court three months ago, but the first charge brought against him by Mueller in the wide-ranging Russia investigation.
A spokesperson for the special counsel’s office didn’t immediately return an email seeking comment from VICE News.
