Winning the crown for weirdest news of the day is a fan conspiracy theory that’s gone viral for its claim that Drake and Kim Kardashian ‘had an affair’ way back before she was with Kanye West.
ICYMI, there’s a thread making the rounds online theorising that Drake has been laying hints about this alleged, so-called fling in his music for several months, but we’re going to need you to pay real close attention to this because it’s complicated and involves one too many lyrics.
The theory is primarily based on Drake’s song Scorpion, in which he references someone’s ‘wifey’ and raps the line: “I already hit her when you left her lonely.” Not particularly solid evidence, but it goes on.
Kanye and Drake have supposedly been beefing since they were together in Wyoming for a recording sesh.
And the fan who took the time to really delve into this absolutely bonkers idea showed that both Drake and Kim posted pics to Instagram with very similar captions…with some calling shade on Drake’s side.
As Kim posted a near nude pic of herself with the caption: “I’m really shy,” and Drake posted one with: “I’m shy,” afterwards.
Again, wouldn’t stand up in a court of law, but this is the internet so any theory goes apparently.
Where it gets mega interesting, though, is when the theory starts talking about the hit In My Feelings, which literally says: “Kiki, do you love me? Are you riding?”
And we all know whose nickname that is…
But it could also be said that this does get to the point of clutching at straws:
Are you deep into the fan theory hole yet? ‘Cos we’re about 6ft under at this point, as J Prince has previously said in an interview that Drake has solid info on Kanye that could ruin his career.
Is that a reference to this viral theory or what?
The beef between Kanye and Drake alongside that Kiki reference could make the lyric mention of ‘your wifey’ from Scorpion seem a lot more direct.
And now it gets actually full on hilarious. Mainly because Google Maps got dragged into the dramz:
In collaboration with Travis Scott, Drake dropped some lyrics that are even being interpreted as the directions to Kim’s house from his own. Drop us out.
