Celebrity Big Brother 2018: Roxanne Pallett Is Called Out By Emmerdale Co-Stars And Apologises on Jeremy Vine Over ‘Punchgate’

Roxanne Pallett left the Celebrity Big Brother house this weekend to the fury of viewers and her past Emmerdale co-stars after accusing fellow housemate Ryan Thomas of ‘punching’ her repeatedly and deliberately.

Ryan was left crying hysterically in the diary room over the whole situation, saying: “I don’t know how she could do this.”

And now 21 of the former Emmerdale actor’s co-stars have come forward condemning Roxanne for her actions.

Kevin Fletcher, who played Roxanne’s husband on the soap, has called her out for being ‘evil’ and tweeted denouncing anyone who claimed she’s ‘mentally ill’.

Another soap star, Sammy Winward, made a cryptic tweet saying: ‘It’s been a long time coming,’ followed by: ‘This makes my blood boil but I hate to say I am not surprised at all!’

And Charley Webb, who has been on the Yorkshire-based soap for years, made the comment as Roxanne exited the house: ’Apparently Roxanne has left the house through the back door.”

“Thank god, for her sake and everyone else’s. Never seen anything like it-dangerous doesn’t even cut it,” she went on to tweet.

After all of the backlash from her previous co-stars and the viewers of CBB, Roxanne gave an exclusive interview to the Jeremy Vine show in which she addressed everything.

In response to her peers coming for her after the ‘punchgate’ drama, she told Jeremy: “I think we all make friends and enemies along the way in life and in jobs.”

“Unfortunately, when you make mistakes there’s a lot of people that want to contribute to the backlash,” she went on to say.

Roxanne discussed her previous experience with domestic abuse and how it has impacted her life, and could have overdramatised her reaction to what happened in the house.

She said: “There have been instances in my career and my life where I’ve spoken up immediately, I’ve become that person [where] a first initial sign of danger or upset I will absolutely highlight it.”

“I’ve spoken to young girls with Women’s Aid in the past. Educated people about speaking up if they feel uncomfortable and I went too far this time.”

She finished up with: “I think, male or female, there will always be a handful of people that get unfairly discredited when the situation’s actually not intentional, and I’m heartbroken that I’ve contributed to distress in Ryan, and I just hope that people can forgive me and I hope that Ryan can forgive me in time.”
